TAPESTRIES
Louise Morey Bowman
Powder
Of diamond
Upon a silver birch;
Old stone wall
Buried deep.
Louise Morey Brown was Canada’s first Imagist poet, embracing Imagism’s forms and tropes as she matured as a writer. She wrote the first modern English-language haiku sequences, and experimented with a strophic cinquain form. This collection features all of her syllable-form poetic experimentation.
